The Benefits Coordinator assists the Human Resources Director with the administration of all benefit plans, application of policies and procedures, compliance, and record keeping.  The Benefits Coordinator will help the HR department ensures compliance with state and federal regulations. Responsible for benefit administration such as enrollment & changes, bill reconciliation, audits, 5500 tax filings and all compliance of benefit plans. Responsible for data entry and upkeep in the HRIS.  May also make follow-up phone calls to insurance company to resolve issues as needed. Handles ongoing COBRA maintenance with administrator and carrier.  Works with payroll to ensure deductions are properly set up.  Responsible for leave of absence administration including processing of necessary paperwork, notices, correspondence, and includes all Accommodation requests.  Process reports for 401k and profit-sharing deposits, employee enrollment and changes, loan, withdrawals and roll-overs.  May assist with annual census information gathering. Answers employee questions related to benefits or personnel procedures. Acts as back up to payroll and may input some statistical information into the Payroll/HR computer system.  Work closely with administration, performing various administrative tasks and special projects. May assist with annual employee survey.

Skills / Requirements

Minimum Education,HS Diploma & Certificate in Human Resources Management. Preferred Education, BA – HR or Business related field and PHR certification. Minimum Experience, 1 – 3 Years in HR related activities. Preferred Experience, 5+ Years
