Human Resources Gerneralist - PHMG
Join our dynamic, fast-paced, and team-oriented HR department at Palomar Health Medical Group. We are now hiring for a HR Generalist to help implement high quality HR services to the employees and managers across 20 locations and supporting over 700 staff. The Human Resource Generalist will support the HR Department. The HR Generalist will lead the on-boarding and employee engagement programs enterprise wide. This role will also handle employment-related inquiries from employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Enforces company policies and practices. Human Resources administrative work is required. This position will report to the Human Resources Manager.
Skills / Requirements
Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Must be good with conflict resolution skills and be able to coach and counsel employees and managers throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate, ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality, thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Experience in Healthcare a plus. Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 3-5 years of human resource experience highly preferred. SHRM-CP or PHR a plus.
